Why Not Wine? Campaign to Get Wine in Grocery Stores
Tennessee laws have historically prohibited the sale of wine in grocery stores. The Tennessee Grocers and Convenience Association's public relations and lobbyist teams galvanized widespread public and media support for wine sales, making the issue the topic of discussion in Legislative Plaza for two years running. Nissan Builds More than Cars and Trucks in Tennessee
Critics thought it couldn't be done when Nissan announced it would build its first Japanese automotive company in a state with no previous history of automotive manufacturing. Nissan engaged Atkinson to develop and implement a comprehensive reputation management plan to prove otherwise. Read more.

Bringing Professional Hockey to Nashville
When the National Hockey League began to consider expansion of the league into a new market, many skeptics believed that professional ice hockey could never work in Nashville. The Predators hired Atkinson to help manage the campaign to win the franchise and to introduce hockey to Nashvillians. Read more.

Crash of Flight 5966
In October 2004 a Corporate Airlines flight crashed in Kirksville, Mo. on landing, killing 13 people. Atkinson immediately mobilized to help Corporate Airlines, a separately owned company that did codeshare business with American Airlines, communicate during this crisis. Read more.
