Nikki Klemmer, Account Supervisor

Nikki Klemmer helps Atkinson’s clients achieve their business objectives through various public relations strategies, including internal communications, media relations, industry relations, and reputation management. She has experience communicating in the corporate, government, and non-profit sectors.

Starting her public relations career at the Girl Scouts—Seal of Ohio Council, Klemmer produced multiple newsletters, program guides, and other collateral materials. She later joined the Michigan Office of Highway Safety Planning as its media relations and outreach coordinator. Klemmer was responsible for publicizing enforcement efforts, including planning overall strategy, organizing news events, and developing messages for various audiences.     

Klemmer has volunteered her time to the PENCIL Foundation and Girl Scouts of Middle Tennessee. She recently presented a session on effective media relations at a national workshop for the Washington, D.C.-based Distance Education and Training Council.

Klemmer graduated from Ohio University with a bachelor’s degree in journalism, specializing in psychology and sociology.
